Eddie H. Bullock, 76, of Marissa, Illinois, formerly of Ohio County, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. He was born on May 5, 1940 in Centertown to the late Hulon and Josephine Boone Bullock. Eddie was a deacon at Faith Baptist Church and a long time scout and former Cub master of Pack 327. He was a retired coal miner, a devoted Kentucky Wildcats and an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Hulon and Josephine Boone Bullock and two sons, Anthony "Tony" Bullock and Terry Lynn Bullock.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth V. McCoy Bullock whom he married on December 12, 1959 in Echols, KY. His daughters; Penny (Jerry) Coerver of Sedalia, MO, Robin Geralds of Marissa, IL and Brooke Bullock of Marissa, IL, His son; Chad Bullock of Nashville, IL, three sisters; Betty (V.T.) Brigance of Centertown, Bonnie (Tony) Geary of Hartford and LyFronda Doolin of Maceo and two brothers; Freddie (Vivian) Bullock of Centertown and Wayne (Ruth D.) Bullock of Beaver Dam. Eddie was blessed with fourteen grandchildren; Michael (Cheryl) Promesberger, Jeremy Bullock, Whitney Bullock, Dustin Johnson, Erica Johnson, Stephanie (Rusty) Trammell, Christopher (Bre) Geralds, Alayna Bullock, Berkley Bullock, Parker Bullock, Bristol Bullock, Terry Miller, Chelsey Hoffman and Jon Hoffman, nine great-grandchildren; Chase Bullock, Anthony Bullock, Zachery Johnson, Cherry Humphries, Devyn Bolden, Rashad Robinson, Austin Laythum, Xavier Trammel and Rose Trammel and one great-great grandson, Chance Bullock.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 4, 2016 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Tom Toenjes officiating. Burial will follow at Smallhous Cemetery in Centertown. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 P.M. Saturday and 12 P.M. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests that those in attendance wear Wildcats or blue and white attire in Eddie’s honor.
