Leo John Edwin Gross, 77, of Hartford, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Wellington Parc in Owensboro. He was born March 26, 1939 in Tacoma, Washington to the late Morris Earl Gross and Aileen Elizabeth Ross Gross. Mr. Gross was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the Army after twenty years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 37 years, Ethia C. Gross on April 18, 2016.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Phillips and her husband, Robert of Hartford; four grandchildren, Jonathan Phillips, Justin Phillips, Wendy Phillips, and Robby Phillips; one sister, Evelyn Gunter of Midland, Texas; and two nieces, Durlene and Kimberly.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Ricky Dockery officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 12:00 P.M. CST Monday, August 29, 2016 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky with Military Honors provided by Fort Knox Casualty.
