Roy Louis Haven, 84, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born July 25, 1932 in Cromwell, Kentucky to the late Clarence D. Haven and Ella Pirtle Haven. Mr. Haven retired from General Electric and MPD. He attended Bible Baptist Church, was a member of the Henderson RC Club and The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, remote control airplanes and was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Haven served in the United States Naval Air Force during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Cecil Haven, Jewell Haven, Glendon Haven and Harlan Haven; and four sisters, Gladys Crowe, Melbaline Berry, Maxine Haven and Clarabel Rafferty.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Haven of Beaver Dam and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 9, 2016 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Cleatus Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Green River Cemetery in Cromwell, Kentucky. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
