Barbara Anne Blacklock, 82, of Cromwell, Kentucky went to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born December 30, 1935 in Mutting West Germany to the late Martin Dietrich and Fanny Ostreicher Dietrich. Ms. Blacklock retired as a housekeeper from Ft. Knox and was employed for over fifteen years at Denny’s in Beaver Dam. She was of the Catholic faith.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Martin Dietrich.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons, Marty (Donna) Blacklock of Cromwell and Alva Blacklock III of Hopkinsville; one daughter, Teresa (Leo) Ferrell of Radcliff; four grandchildren, Jonathon Blacklock, Deneda Smith, Christopher Ready, and Bill (Lucy) Ready; five great-grandchildren, Bryce Smith, Waylon Rigsby, Braylon ready, Cole Ready, and Penelope Ready; and one sister, Fanny Myers of Rehm, Germany.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 30, 2018 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. David Baskin officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Ms. Blacklock’s family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
