The Duvalls were the first family we met when we moved to Beaver Dam in 1964! G ogre was a big bear of a man but one of the kindest. Love and hugs to Mary, JoJo, and De De! My favorite scripture is Revelation 21: 3,4....may it give you comfort in your loss!

JoJo, was saddened to hear of this. We know your Dad was your Hero and you can take solace in knowing he loved his family, his farm, his community and friends and best of all, he knew how to live life to the fullest. We can all learn from that. Praying God finds comfort for you and your family during these difficult days. Love you.

DeDe, Lanny, Katy, & Kourtney ...

Friends are praying for you during your time of sadness. We wish you the gift of sweet memories of your father and grandfather. As believers, we have blessed assurance from the promises of our Savior ... "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.”

Jo Jo,
My dad (James Curtis) greatly enjoyed telling stories of when he and George played basketball as rivals.
However, his greatest praise was George's expertise as an operator at the mines.
So sorry for your loss.

While in the 6th grade trying to learn how to play basketball I became aware of George and decided I wanted to
play as he did. He was a great role model.

My late husband Donnie Nelson and I met George many years ago at a horse pull in Grays Lake Ill. Oh my what an impression he made on us before we ever met him. Such a gentleman and a great horseman. We introduced ourselves after the pull. We sat up all night listening to George tell stories AND of course talking horses, one of our favorite subjects. A fellow by the name of Lonnie was with George. He just made a lasting impression on us. Donnie thought all the world of him. We had the pleasure of seeing him a couple of times through the years at pulls. May you all know you are in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Geroge was a good person, a good friend, and the most dedicated Horse puller I have ever known. My deepest sympathy to his wife Jo Jo and the rest of the family. Sorry I am unable to attend the services, I would have liked to convey my condolences in person.

My Mother Barbara Duvall moved to Indiana when she was 6 wks old. I always read the obituaries when I see a Duvall has died checking to see if they might be related. I had been in contact with a young man named Barry Wayne Duvall. HIs father was Robert harlen Duvall and his mothers name was Hazel. Ring any bells? I am sorry for your loss. Its never easy losing your Dad. My condolences.

Thinking of you Mary, Jo Jo, DeDe and families.
George was a friend for many years. I always remember how he looked forward to the parades and making the kids smile. Oh, how the kids loved to ride in the wagon. Thanks for the memories.

When George came into the shop it was like a ray of sunshine. Always had something funny to say or something to say that everyone was thinking but wouldn't say. Lol. He loved his JoJo. God broke the mold when George was born. He will be missed by many. My prayers are with JoJo and mom.

I knew George for only two years, but found him to be of strong faith and loved his family. Attending church services was a part of his regular routine. I will miss his jokes and infectious smile. My prayers for his family.

I will always think fondly of George. As a little girl, he was my hero with his "stocking-legged mares." In later years, I enjoyed talking with him at restaurants a, the Court House, and horse shows. Without doubt, when you finished a conversation with George, you knew where he stood, a trait that I admire greatly. Ohio Co. (and beyond) has lost a true friend.

My condolence for your loss. I enjoyed working for George and his Father on the farm during my early teens. I am 79 years old and it seems like yesterday that I worked for him. I always enjoyed talking with him either at a cafe or at a horse show when visiting in Beaver Dam.
