Rev. Charles A. Lindsey, 85 of Drakesboro, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Livermore due to an automobile accident. He was born April 15, 1933 in Poplar Springs, Kentucky to the late James Montgomery and Vastie Lamar Lindsey. Charles was a former pastor at the Church of God of Prophecy in Central City. In addition to Central City, Kentucky he also pastored churches in Henderson, Kentucky; Vincennes, Indiana; Charleston, Mississippi and Scobey, Mississippi. He retired as a maintenance superintendent for the Evansville Airport.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Jean Embry Lindsey; brothers, Carl Lindsey and Dallas Lindsey and sister, Clarissa Lindsey.
Survivors include four children, Charles Wayne (Gwen) Lindsey of Boonville, Indiana, Gregory Allen (Lori) Lindsey of Henderson, Kentucky, Debbie Jean (E.C.) McKinley of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Sherry Lynn Reynolds of Evansville, Indiana and one sister, Shirley Dye of Newburgh, Indiana. Charles was blessed with eight grandchildren, Shanda, Jonathan, Shaun, Lindsey, Ryan, Brad, Seth and Jayden and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Greg Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Horse Branch with full Military Honors provided by the Ohio County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and after 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
