Sara Louise "Lou" Farris

Sara Louise “Lou” Farris, 71, of Echols, Kentucky passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born August 7, 1948 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Johnny Smith and Bessie Cavins Smith. Lou was a homemaker.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Farris; daughter, Chasity Farris; infant son, John C. Farris; three siblings, Frankie Smith, J.C. Smith and Faye Daugherty.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two children, Delbert Farris of Echols and Shannon (Timmy “Red”) Holmes of Livermore; four grandchildren, McKenna Holmes, Trinity Holmes, Olivia Farris and Dalton Farris; four siblings, Tom Smith of Beaver Dam, Sue (Bill) Middleton of McHenry, Bea (Roy R.) Farris, and Kat (Scott) McLain of McHenry and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 8, 2019 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Lealin Geary officiating. Friends may visit with Lou’s family Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
