Stella Faye (Snodgrass) Douglas

Stella Faye Douglas, 85, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away June 26, 2019 at Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab. She was born August 24, 1933 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Jessie James “Jimmy” Snodgrass and Olivia Jones Snodgrass. Mrs. Douglas was a retired lunchroom cook where she worked for Ohio County and Daviess County Schools. She attended McHenry Baptist Church.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Douglas and a daughter, Carolyn Rhineburger.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Gail (Phil) Duncan of Evansville, Indiana and Diane Hines of McHenry; five grandchildren, Leslie (Chris) Humphrey of Evansville, Jamie (Amanda) Rhineburger of Owensboro, Phillip A. Duncan of Huntington Beach, California, Jennifer (Dustin) Tackett of Owensboro, and Steven Hines of McHenry; six great grandchildren, Cooper and Jackson Humphrey, James, Jason, Austin and Autumn Rhineburger; two sisters, Nell Meguiar of Auburn, Kentucky and Shirley Markwell of Lewisburg and sister-in-law, Joyce Douglas of McHenry.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 29, 2019 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Gary Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Mrs. Douglas’ family from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Stella fed hundreds of children in her time at the schools, the family asks that you continue her legacy by donating to, Ohio County Board of Education for Summer Feeding Program, PO Box 70, Hartford, KY 42347. In lieu of flowers.
