Versie (Moseley) Baize

Versie M. Baize, 94 of McHenry, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Hartford. She was born July 24, 1923 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Sydney Albert and Mollie Southard Moseley. Mrs. Baize was a member of Independence Baptist Church where she loved to sing and was a Sunday School Teacher.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil “Buster” Baize; two sons, Gary Baize and Kerry Baize and a grandson.

Survivors include her daughters, Joetta (Roger) Devore of Bloomington, IL and Susan (Paul) Miller of Stanford, IL; daughter-in-law, Jean Baize of Hartford; one brother, Vernie Moseley of McHenry; one sister, Rava Lindsey of Beaver Dam; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Jerry Toler officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Beaver Dam with Rev. Jerry Toler officiating. Friends may visit with Mrs. Baize’s family from 10 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Thursday.
