Anna Christine (Phelps) Embry

Anna “Christine” Embry, 91, of Horse Branch, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Ohio County Healthcare in Hartford. She was born on May 19, 1934, in Ohio County to the late Ira and Avia Smith Phelps. Christine was a member of Horse Branch General Baptist Church, and she retired from the Ohio County High School.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Joe Embry and siblings, Chester Phelps, Elbert Phelps, Beulah Mae Givens, Ira Glen Phelps, James Oddist Phelps, Betty Jean White, Mary Ruth Walls and Vernia Ray Phelps.

She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her children, Jack (Nancy) Embry, Judy Smith, Matthew (Gayle) Embry and Jeffrey Luke Embry; five grandchildren, Tara Embry, Melissa (Andy) McIntyre, Misty (Alfiero) Anania, Duke (Holly) Cotton and Ira Embry and several great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Friday, June 6, 2025, with Rev. Conner Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Christine’s family from 9:30 AM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
