Arnold Ray McKenney

Arnold Ray McKenney, 83, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born April 3, 1942, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Marie Johnson McKenney. Arnold retired from Peabody Coal Company and was a member of New Song Church in Owensboro.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by son-in-law, Barry Horn; granddaughter, Katie Horn; two brothers, Donald McKenney, B.B. McKenney and two sisters, Margaret McKenney and Joann McKenney.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of thirty years, Lena McKenney of Beaver Dam; children, Arnold McKennry, Jr. of Central City, Nelda (Ben) Henderson of Cromwell, Beth Ann McKenney of Sacramento; bonus children, Eddie (Sherry) Turner of Owensboro, Johnny (Kim) Turner of Beaver Dam, Brenda Horn of Owensboro, and Becky (Rick) Roberts of Little Hocking, Ohio; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice Porter of Cromwell and Carolyn Westermen of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 27, 2026, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Minister Bobby Phelps and Rev. Phil Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in Shultztown Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
