Billie Neal Stewart

Billie Neal Stewart, 90, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his residence. He was born June 27, 1930 in Ohio County to the late Chester and Ruby Skaggs Stewart. Mr. Stewart retired from General Electric and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Mary Margaret Lindsey Stewart; three children, Roger Stewart, Penny Stewart, and Judy Farmer; one sister, Edna Bassler; one brother-in-law, Leroy Bassler and companion of 18 years, Della Turpin.  

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, one son, William Kenneth “Billy” Stewart and his wife, Angela; one daughter-in-law, Faith Stewart; 17 grandchildren, Jacob Lee Michael Stewart, Jerry Joseph Leach, Sarah Elizabeth Leach, Matthew Thomas Leach, William Jesse Whitehouse, Felicia (Corey) Logsdon, A.J. (Erin) Whitehouse, Amanda (Jason) Harrison, Angela Farmer, Sandra (Jeremy) Seamon, Jennifer Voyles, Maria Brown, Jeremiah (Brooke) Davis, Blake Bailey, Brad Reichardt, Jacob Boarman and Cameo Boarman and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 11, 2021 at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Alsman officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Full military honors will be provided by Ohio County Honor Guard. Burial will be private in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky with Ralph Porter, Sr. officiating.

Due to health and public safety mandates, our capacity will be limited to fifty percent and facial coverings will be required.
