Billy Ray Tate, 81, of Horse Branch, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his residence. He was born April 21, 1940 in Grueti-Laager, Tennessee to the late John Tate and Elva Street Tate. Mr. Tate retired from Ball Glass and attended Sugar Grove Church of Christ.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-seven years, Marvadene Doolin Tate; one son, William Dean Whitten; two brothers, Johnny Tate and James Tate and one sister, Sissy Brooks.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, three sons, Bryan (Laura) Tate of Hessville, Indiana; Brian Dale (Pamela) Whitten of Owensboro and Ricky Wayne Whitten of Hammond, Indiana; one daughter, Tracy (Tim) McGuire of Crown Point, Indiana; one sister, Nancy Jo (Jim) Stewart of Florida and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fordsville. William L Danks Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
