Carrie Elizabeth Devine, 102 of Rockport, Kentucky passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025. She was born on March 13, 1923 in Echols, Kentucky to the late Dellie and Addie Singleton. Mrs. Devine was the oldest living member of Rockport Baptist Church where she served her Lord with enthusiasm, dedication and great love and compassion. She taught Sunday School, VBS, and loved missions through the W.M.U. Her life’s passion was raising her family and being involved in her church. If the doors were open, she was there. She loved her beautiful flowers, gardening, canning and cooking meals and sharing them with others.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Devine, Jr.; her son, Charles Devine and infant son, Michael Anthony Devine; son-in-law, M.D. “Butch” Hill; daughters-in-law, Judy Devine and Yvonne Devine; one granddaughter, Deanna Devine and ten siblings, Adral Shaw, Oral Singleton, Doretta Fulkerson, Sylvia Bratcher, Wilda McChord, Margaret Barnes, Jr. Singleton, Jerry Singleton, Bobby Singleton and Donnie Singleton.
She leaves behind to cherish many precious memories, her children, Phyllis Hill of Bradenton, Florida, Alice (Stan) Mason of Huxley, Iowa, Faith Devine of Rockport, Kim (Scott) Fleener of Centertown and Howard (Cindy) Devine of Owensboro. Mrs. Devine was blessed with six grandchildren, Gregory Hill, Scott Hill, Chad (Jennifer) Mason, Joey (Dawn) Mason, Mandy (John) Abney and Tyler (Jessica) Fleener, seven great-grandchildren, Sarah (Jack) Wychor, Hannah (Chris) McKinnon, Katie Mason, Megan Mason, Grace Abney, Noah Abney, Isaac Fleener and Iris Fleener and one great-great grandchild, Finn Mason.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 10, 2025 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Scott Fleener officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Carrie’s family from 12 P.M. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
