Charles O. Allen

Charles O. Allen, 86, of Horse Branch, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Signature Healthcare of Hartford. He was born Sunday, October 8, 1939, to the late Charles E. Allen and Vonnie Renfrow Allen. He was a lifetime farmer and worked for Thomas Industries and Perdue. He was a member of Sugar Grove Church of Christ.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by infant sisters, Rena, Vena and Judith Ann Allen; sisters, Elsie Daugherty and Iva Royal; brother, Don Allen as well as nieces and nephews, Sharon Coy and Kathie and Montie Alexander.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, sister, Barbara Oller of Louisville; nieces and nephew, Mary (Dan) Batts, Phyllis (Wilbur) Jones, Rayetta Embry, James (Cynthia) Embry, Donna Gates, Chuck (Tracy) Allen, Don Allen II and Paul Coy as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 18, 2025, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with James Embry and Phyllis Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Renfrow Cemetery in Horse Branch. Friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
