Cova L. Moore

Cova L. Moore, 89, of McHenry, Kentucky went to her heavenly home Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Signature Healthcare of Hartford. She was born February 19, 1932 in McHenry to the late James Lonnie and Geneva Dale Daugherty Moore. Miss Moore retired from General Electric and was a member of McHenry Baptist Church. She was a foster grandparent at Beaver Dam Elementary School for a number of years. Miss Moore enjoyed quilting, singing and traveling, especially her trips to Cyprus and The Holy Land in Israel. She loved to cook and always kept her cookie jar full for her nieces and nephews.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Moore and Odell Moore; two sisters, Bonnie Smith and Maxine Phelps; an infant sister, Naomi Moore; two nieces, Julia Felty Johnson and Susan Felty Carpenter and two nephews, Glendal “Cotton” Moore and James William “Buddy” Smith.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one brother, Jackie (Linda) Moore of Kinkade, Illinois; two sisters, Nova Jean Harrison of Hartford and Carolyn (Alvin) Poole of Utica and several nieces and nephews that thought of her as a grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 9, 2021 at McHenry Baptist Church in McHenry, Kentucky with Bro. Scott Fleener and Bro. Brent Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Friends may visit with her family from 10 AM Friday until the time of the service Friday at the church. William L. Danks Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
