Dakoda James “DJ” Evans, 30, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Horse Branch, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born March 7, 1994, in Owensboro, Kentucky to Michael Evans and Michele Maiden Panchisin. DJ worked as an auto mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Michael Maiden.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Mason Evans of Morgantown; mother, Michele Maiden Panchisin of Lexington; father, Michael (Michelle) Evans of Kuttawa; maternal grandmother, Patricia “Patty” Maiden of Lexington; paternal grandmother, Vickie (Mike) Autry of Horse Branch; paternal grandfather, James Evans of Cromwell; six siblings, Kyle (Robin) Fields of Morgantown, Joe (Haley) Fields of Lexington, Gabriel Messamore, Kallista Messamore and David Messamore all of Kuttawa and Candace (Misty) Heflin of Beaver Dam; nephew, Alex Fields of Elizabethtown and niece, Lexi Heflin of Beaver Dam; uncle, Tim (Crystal) Evans of Beaver Dam and cousins, Addison, Abe and Acts Evans of Beaver Dam and mother of his son, Chasity (Aaron) Whittaker of Morgantown.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 15, 2024, at William L, Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Glendon Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Horse Branch. Friends may visit with DJ’s family from 3-7 P.M. on Sunday and from 9 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
