Darla Faye (Tarrance) Smith

Darla Faye Smith, 67, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 29, 2026, at her residence. She was born July 16, 1958, in Hartford, Kentucky to James Tarrance and Betty Lynn Geary Roy.

Darla was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Smith; son, Tommy Dehart; brother Kevin DiVietro; sister, Julia Tarrance and grandparents, Jimmy Tarrance, Wanda Woosley, Paul Woosley, Laura Arnold and Preston Geary.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Lisa Taylor and Amy Doss; father, James Tarrance; mother, Betty Lynn (James) Roy; brothers, James (Carin) Tarrance, Jr., John (April) Tarrance, Chad (Ashley) Miles, Jamie (Sarah) Roy; sisters, Pamela Tarrance, Sherry Preston, Vickie (Donald) Lawson, Lori (Daniel) Siler, Lilliam Tarrance, Alexandria (Joshua) Pruitt and Kimberly (Frank) Shown as well as eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Geary Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky with Rev. Glendon Geary officiating.
