Deana “Aunt Dee” Allen, 75, of Auburn, Kentucky passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. She was born April 9, 1947 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Hilbert Allen and Belle Sorrels Allen. Dee was a homemaker and member of Hickory Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved to crochet, having fun with the ladies and her family. She was Aunt Dee to everyone she met.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Sue Poor and three brothers, Waverland Allen, Charles Allen and Lue Allen.
Dee leaves behind to treasure her memory, three children at heart, Deborah Sue (Jon) Whittinghill of Bowling Green, Anita “Sissy” (Roberto) Amador of Bowling Green and Douglas “Butchie” (Cathy) McMurray of Auburn; twin sister, Duma Culbertson of Beaver Dam; brother, Lenny (Elizabeth) Allen of Cromwell; nine nieces and nephews; several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, September 17, 2022 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Kenny Chyle officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Cemetery. Friends may visit with Dee’s family from 4-8 PM Friday and 10 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
