Deborah Ann "Debbie" Matthews

Deborah Ann “Debbie” Matthews, 63, of Hartford, Kentucky awakened in the arms of her heavenly father on Thursday, August 3, 2023. She was born April 14, 1960, in Hartford, Kentucky to Bonnie Allen Matthews and the late James Matthews. Debbie was a homemaker and member of Independence Church in McHenry. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in nature, but her favorite thing was spending time with her grandbabies and great grandbabies.

Aside from her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Shields, one grandson, one great-grandson, and several aunts and uncles.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother, Bonnie Matthews of Beaver Dam; loving husband, Carl W. Frizzell of Hartford; four children, April Matthews (Josh) of Beaver Dam, James (Bessie) Bradshaw of Olaton, Joy (Robbie) Coble of McHenry, and Jennifer West of McHenry; sixteen grandchildren, Amber (Sean) Vance, James (Tyler) Fulkerson, Hayden Kemp, Autumn Embry, Destiny (Collin) Thomas, Shalynn Bradshaw, Chelsea Bradshaw, Jamie LeAnne Bradshaw (Austin), Kandi Bradshaw, and James “Little Man” Bradshaw, Haley Coble, Jacoby Coble, Brendan Ray Coble, Jenna West, Jonathan Davis, and Jocelyn (Pedro) Martinez; nine great-grandchildren, Emma, Ivey, Liam, Wyat, Charles Hunter, Ryker, Rose, Jace, Paisley, and Kylan coming soon; brothers, Ricky (Susan) Matthews and David (Janie) Matthews both of Hartford, and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, August 7, 2023, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Brent Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Debbie’s family from 5-8 PM Sunday and 9 AM until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers Debbie wished for her family to receive windchimes in her memory.
