Dewey Arnold Brown

Dewey Arnold Brown, 86 of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on April 6, 1935, in Ohio County to the late Fred and Susie Russell Brown. Dewey was a member of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, and he retired from Johnson, Depp & Quisenberry where he worked as a civil engineer. He also served in the United States Army.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Vivian Phelps Brown.

He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his children, Sherri Brown of Beaver Dam and Arnold Ray (Tammy) Brown of Roswell, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Jacob Ellis and Sheena Embry and two great-grandchildren, Briceson Ellis and Blake Embry.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Jeremy Ruegg officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Rockport, Kentucky with full military honors by Ohio County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with Dewey’s family from 10 AM until the time of the funeral Tuesday, at the funeral home.
