Doris Marie (Seaton) Morris

Doris Marie Morris, 78, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, with her family by her side at her residence.

She was born Tuesday, March 4, 1947, in Breckinridge County, Kentucky to the late Edward Seaton and Dorothy Daugherty Ashley. Doris retired from Commonwealth Aluminum after twenty-two years of service.

Aside from her parents Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Clay Morris; daughter, Connie Masterson; son, Roger K. Morris, and two brothers, Gene Seaton and Roger Seaton.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Jeffrey G. (Rhonda) Morris of Horse Branch and James R. (Amanda) Masterson of Owensboro; daughter Janet L. (John) Higdon of Owensboro; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Johnny (Diane) Seaton of Owensboro, Donnie Seaton of Indiana, Billy (Sherry) Seaton of Arizona, and Carl (Sharon) Seaton of Oregon, and three sisters, Suzy (Brett) Bokkon of Owensboro, Delois Livingston of Owensboro and Shannon (Mark) Shaffer of Phoenix, Arizona.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday, May 31, 2025, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Veteto officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Doris’ family from 4-8 PM Friday and 10 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
