Jack Donald Raymer, 85, of Hartford, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on November 30, 1938 in Warren County, Kentucky to the late Bonnie Evan and Anna Laura Chinn Raymer. Jack was a member of Hartford Christian Church and he worked as a mechanic for American Tobacco Company, Westinghouse and Owensboro Country Club. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry and was a jack of all trades.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Caden Edmondston; five brothers, Ernest Raymer, Charles Raymer, Lucian Raymer, Bonnie Raymer and Bon L. Raymer and three sisters, Glenda Mattingly, Dimple Bowlds, and Dolly Brown.
He leaves behind to cherish many precious memories, his wife of 62 years, Doris Westerfield Raymer of Hartford; two children, Brent (Elizabeth) Raymer of Hartford and Lana Raymer of Hartford; two brothers, Harold (Monty) Raymer of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Russell (Sandra) Raymer of Beaver Dam and two sisters, Janie (David) Taylor of Beaver Dam and Delana Bibbe of Bowling Green. Jack was blessed with eight grandchildren, Blake (Kasey) Belcher, Landon Belcher, Olivia (Jeffery) Luttrell, Trevan (Erica) Small, Nicki (Chris) Edmondston, Sophia Blair, Robbie Raymer and Jack Raymer and twenty-two great grandchildren, Alexia, Ava, Brylon, Layla, Gavin, Lilly, Kaleb, Emory, Elle, Collins, Mia, Conner, Cameron, Audrena, Coltin, Liam, Lincoln, Thaddius, Owen, Donavan, Jaxton, and Arianna.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Joey Miner officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may visit with Jack’s family from 4-8 P.M. Monday and from 9 A.M. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
