James L. Barnes

James L. Barnes, 97, of Hartford, Kentucky passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born October 5, 1925 in McHenry, Kentucky to the late Henry S. Barnes and Odessa Shepard Barnes. Mr. Barnes was a retired brick mason and a member of Masonic Lodge.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Barnes; companion, Mildred Little; brothers, Leon Barnes, Gilbert Barnes and Elmer Barnes.

Survivors include 5 sons, Barry Barnes of Rockport, Roger Barnes of Greenville, Leroy Barnes of Rockport, Conard Barnes of Rockport and Tim Barnes of Owensboro; sister, Lucille Daniels of Louisville and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 12 PM Friday, November 4. 2022 at Slaty Creek Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky was entrusted with arrangements.
