Jeffrey Lee "Hoot" Gibson

Jeffrey Lee “Hoot” Gibson, 61, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at his home. He was born December 6, 1964, in Hazard, Kentucky to Leslie “Dickie” Gibson and the late Mary Anna Little Gibson. Jeff was employed by Western Green for 28 years and served in the National Guard for 10 years. He loved motorcycles, fishing, golfing, and all sports. Most of all he cherished time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Aside from his mother he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Gibson.

He leaves behind to treasure many memories, his wife of 11 years (together 16 years), Susan Gibson of Newburgh; father, Leslie “Dickie” Gibson of Hartford; children, Brandon (Brooke) Gibson of Hartford, Dakota (Leah) Gibson of Beaver Dam, Cory (Shannon) Thorton of Evansville, Kristen (Garrett) Davis of Beaver Dam, and Christian Spencer of Newburgh; grandchildren, Tyson Gibson, Joslyn Gibson, Kainan Gibson, Kyra Hurt, Jaxton Gibson, Gibson Hurt, and Aspen Davis arriving soon; sister, Angela Duncan of Hartford; brother, Rodney Gibson of Boonville; in-laws, Dave and Patty Spencer as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, December 19, 2025, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Rockport Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
