Joseph "Eddie" Boswell

Joseph “Eddie” Boswell, 79, of Hartford, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, with his family by his side at his residence. He was born Saturday, August 18, 1945, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late William B. Boswell and Lou Anna Miller Boswell. Eddie held many jobs throughout his life but held his positions with Greenriver Boys Camp and Job Corps closest to his heart. He was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his son, William Thomas Boswell and two sisters Mary Lou Baugh and Billie Taylor.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-three years, Wilma Southard Boswell of Hartford; children, Kristi (Heath) Wiles of Beaver Dam, Maria (Josh) Barrett of Centertown and Joseph Wayne Boswell of Hartford; five grandchildren, Ellie Wiles, Evie Wiles, Emma Wiles, Winter Barrett and Hoyt Barrett, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Saturday, April 19, 2025, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Alexander and Bro. Johnny Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in Slaty Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3-7 PM Friday and 9 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
