Obituary

Joseph Cullen Rowan, Jr., 84 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on September 11, 1935 in Palmetto, Florida to the late Joseph Cullen Rowan Sr. and Julia Hall Rowan. Mr. Rowan attended Lighthouse Baptist Church and he was an independent owner/operator/ truck driver.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Julia Rowan and his father and step-mother, Joseph Cullen, Sr. and Moline Rowan.

He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his wife of 66 years, Mary Ellen Ballard Rowan of Beaver Dam; his children, Jim (Mary) Rowan of Valparaiso, Indiana, Larry Rowan of Beaver Dam, LouAnn (Perry) Dickinson of Croswell, MI and Rhonda Rowan of Beaver Dam; two brothers, Phillip (Marti) Rowan of Greenwood, Indiana and Donald (Carolyn) Rowan of San Antonio, TX; and one step-sister, Shannon (Gary) Teague of Leitchfield, KY. Mr. Rowan was blessed with ten grandchildren, Terry Rowan, Larry Rowan, Jimmy Rowan, Lisa Rowan Krebs, Sabrina Eason, Jen Rowan-Ward, Nick Eason, Brandon Stewart, Spencer Stewart and Andrea Stewart; twenty three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held privately. Visitation will be open to the public from 12pm-2pm on Monday, June 15, 2020 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. In compliance with heath and public safety directives, capacity will be limited in accordance with state guidelines.
