Kenneth Ray Large, 77, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born August 11, 1943 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to the late Herbert and Mae Hamblin Large. Kenny was a retired MSHA Federal Mine Inspector and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He obtained a bachelors degree from Cumberland College. Kenny served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-five years, Regina Carolyn Large and one brother, William “Sonny” Large.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, two daughters, Kimberly (Paul) Ashburn and Kendra Young (Patrick Patterson) both of Beaver Dam; one granddaughter, Kenedi Raelyn Ashburn; three sisters, Peggy (Fred) Davis of Beaver Dam, Wanda Still of Monroe, Ohio and Sue Howard of Jacksboro, Tennessee; five nieces, Debbie Goodall, Karen Ramsey, Donna Skipper, Stephanie Barrett and Sheri Risinger and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Dr. Mark Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery with full military honors by Ohio County Honor Guard.
Due to health and public safety directives, our capacity will be limited to fifty percent and facial coverings will be required.
