Larry Dean Minton passed away peacefully at his home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky on Monday, October 19, 2020. He was born on September 3, 1948 to the late Ira D. and Virginia Minton. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Minton and a sister, Ruby Shown.
Larry was the pastor of Charity Faith Chapel and served as a volunteer prison chaplain at Blackburn Correctional Complex and Greenville Correctional Center. He was also the founding owner of Small Spot Auto Sales.
He leaves behind, his wife of 50 years, Thelma “Lois” Minton; three sons, Charlie (Laura) Schroader, Kevin (Kristie) Minton, Robert (Beth) Minton; one daughter, Leah (Jeff) Decker all of Beaver Dam and one brother, Charles “Peewee” (Dolly) Minton of Madisonville. He was a loving papaw to seven granddaughters, Cheyenne Roarke, Abbygail Schroader, Lexy Schroader, Emily Minton, Ruby Minton, Avery Decker and Adaline Decker; two grandsons, Simon Schroader and Isaiah Dean Minton; two step grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Christopher Coppage; two great grandsons, Brantley Roarke and Hudson Dean Roarke and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 23, 2020 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Tim Smith officiating. Friends may visit with Larry’s family from 4-7 PM Thursday and 9 AM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
