Laverne (Book) Jones

Laverne Book Jones, 83 of Beaver Dam, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born on October 3, 1936 in Piggott, Arkansas to the late Floyd and Ernestine Book. Laverne was a Christian woman and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cromwell. She spent her time caring for her family who was very important to her and farming side by side with her husband Charles.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Jones; siblings, Quincy Book, Dennis Book, Floyd Book, Carl Book, Bob Book and Marie Smith and a grandson, Bobby Jones.

Survivors include her children, Sheryl (Moe) Maldonado of Hartford, Ernie (Pat) Jones of Beaver Dam, Bobby (Kathy) Jones of Ashland and Dennis Jones of Morgantown; eight grandchildren, David, Brandon, Shawn, Jasmine, Martin, Casey, Bobbi Kay and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Gage, Abby, Cassidy, Haley, Cody, Trey, Landon, Alex, Cameron and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, October 24, 2019 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 10 A.M. until the time of the service on Thursday.
