Leonard Allen Obituary

Leonard Hugh “Lenny” Allen, 80 of Cromwell, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on June 26, 1945, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Hilbert C. and Luvenia Belle Sorrels Allen. Mr. Allen worked as a heavy equipment operator at United Minerals Coal Mines.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Deana Allen, Dumma Culbertson, Charles Allen, Lue Allen, WA “Drup” Allen and Martha Sue Poor.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Elizabeth Spinks Allen of Cromwell; two sons, Rick (Melissa) Allen of Island and Steven (Michelle) Allen of Hartford and three grandchildren, Katie Allen, Angel Casteel and Dexter Hedges.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Keith Shephard officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Cemetery near Cromwell. Friends may visit with Lenny’s family from 10 A.M. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
