Lola Marie Jackson Jones Chinn, 81, of Centertown, Kentucky went to be with Jesus Friday, February 9, 2024, at her home under the care of Hospice of Ohio County. She was born June 28, 1942, in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Hiram Ferell Jackson and Margaret M Lowe Jackson. Lola retired from Nestaway and attended Centertown Baptist Church. She loved fishing, planting flowers, Donald Trump and especially playing the lottery.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Jackson Jones on September 17, 2014; stepfather, Marc Bond; grandmother and grandfather, two brothers and one sister.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Carl Chinn of Centertown; daughters, Rosa Marie Thompson (Mike Wilkins) of Owensboro and Geneva Lynn (David) Clapp of Leachville, Arkansas; one stepson, Jason (Donessa) Chinn; eight grandchildren, Brett Thompson, Torrey Thompson, Chris Thompson, Andrea Thompson, Adam Ferguson, David Clapp III, Damon Clapp and Dana Clapp; six great grandchildren, Eden, Jackson, McKenna, Oliver, Piper and Twyla; one half-brother; one half-sister and friend and caretaker, Michelle Creek.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, February 12, 2024, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Scott Fleener officiating. Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery. Friends may visit with Lola’s family from 9 AM until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
