Mary Agnes (Nickels) Reed

Mary Agnes Reed, 87, of Central City, Kentucky went to her heavenly home on Monday, October 5, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 24, 1933 in Central City, Kentucky to the late Thomas A. Nickels and Lola Jarvis Nickels. Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and member of Christ of Calvary Church in Central City.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Frankie Reed; son, Harry Reed; several siblings and her best friend, Peggy Edwards.

She leaves behind to treasure many memories, her daughter, Georgina (John) Sailing of Central City; grandchildren, Elizabeth (James) Johnson, John (Amanda) Sailing and Brandy (Ryan) Alexander; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Johnson, Brianna Johnson, Addison Johnson, Colton Alexander, John Alexander, Heavenly Sailing, Sahara Alexander and Serenity Williams and nephew, Rob Edwards.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2020 to honor both Mrs. Reed and her late husband. The service will be at Christ of Calvary Church, 114 Comanche Lane, Central City, KY 42330 with Rev. Mike DeArmond officiating. William L. Danks Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Reed.
