Michael A. Sipla, 44, of Hartford, Kentucky passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born February 11, 1981, in Madison, Wisconsin to Debra L. Arndt Ohara and the late Gary E. Sipla. Mike was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for CMC in Owensboro. He was fire chief at Dundee Fire Department. He was an outdoorsman. He loved kayaking, fishing, hunting, spending time in his garage with his buddies doing mechanic work. His family, friends and his farm animals were his heart.
Aside from his father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Erwin and Donna Arndt; Edith and Ervin Sipla and mother-in-law, Mary Lundy.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Amanda Sipla of Hartford; children, CJ Tikkanen of Adams, Wisconsin, Kaylee Sipla Semro of Owensboro, Grace Sipla (Carter) of Owensboro, Sebastian Sipla of Owensboro, Danielle Lundy of Hartford and Dylan Fricker (McKayla) of Hartford; grandchildren, Dexter, Alice and Lily; mother, Debra (David) Ohara of Philpot; sister Shannon (Jeremy) Fry of Owensboro; father-in-law, Ray Lundy of Owensboro; brother-in-law, Jerry Lundy (Kendra) of Utica; sister-in-law, Brandy Lundy (Kat) of Owensboro; several nieces, nephew, cousins and friends as well as a large brotherhood of firefighters.
A celebration of life visitation will be held from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Dundee Fire Department 11735 Hwy 69, Dundee, KY 42338.
