Oscar Eugene Embry

Oscar Eugene Embry, 84, of Vonore, Tennessee, a native of Caneyville, Kentucky, passed away at 9:52 a.m. Sunday, July 6, 2025, at his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from CSX Railroad and was of the Church of God faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nikka Embry; and parents, Oscar and Elsie Gary Embry.

Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Dayton Duclo, of New Boston, Michigan; sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy Embry, of Sweetwater, Tennessee and Jeffrey and Yevette Embry, of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Stella Underwood, of San Jose, California; stepdaughter and her husband, Lisa and James Canady, of Vonore, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 10, 2025, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
