Sarita "Rity' (Leach) Rice

Sarita “Rity” Rice, 68, of McHenry, Kentucky passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, with her family by her side at her residence. She was born July 2, 1955, in McHenry, Kentucky to the late Burchell Leach and Anna Margaret Camp Leach. She retired from Subway and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. Rity enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louvenna Leach and Melissa Chinn and brother, Joy A. Leach.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Melody (Tommy) Middleton of McHenry; two grandchildren, Nicholas (Claire) Middleton of Richmond and Audrey (Kayla) Middleton of Cynthiana; great grandson, Micah; brother, Jeff “BoDean” Leach of Beaver Dam; nephews and nieces, Todd (Tina) Leach of Welches Creek, Kelly Lewis of Beaver Dam, Jamie (Angie) Leach of McHenry, Mary Anna (Jason) Tierney of Hartford and Mishawn Davis of Lone Oak as well as several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and special cousin, Veronica.  

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Todd Leach officiating. Burial will be in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Rity’s family from 3-8 PM Tuesday and 9 AM until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
