Suzann Denise (Geary) Smith

Suzann Denise Smith, 54, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side, under the care of Hospice of Ohio County. She was born on March 31, 1969, in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Lester E. and Deloris Phelps Geary. Suzann worked at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab for five years where she loved interacting with patients. She also worked at Dollar General for years where she gained many friends. Suzann loved planting flowers, spending time with her family, and most importantly spending time with her cats.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Rob Lutz.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 34 years, Kenny Smith Jr. of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Haley Smith of Beaver Dam; one son, Zach (Hailey) Smith of Rockport, Kentucky; two sisters, Tina (Dale) Schroader of Horse Branch and Crystie (Kevin) Stauss of Franklin, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law, Kim Fulkerson of McHenry and Kris Lutz of Nashville, Tennessee. Suzann also leaves behind many other family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, May 25, 2023, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Frank Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Suzann’s family from 5-8 P.M. on Wednesday and from 9 A.M. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
