Thelma Louise Montgomery, 87 of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on March 18, 1938 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Charles Martin and Annie C. Wade Morton. Thelma was a member of Barnes Chapel United Methodist Church and she retired from Houchens. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Will Henry Montgomery; four sisters, Wilma Martin, Vitula Rife, Jean Smith and Peggy Ann Morton; two brothers, William “Billy” Martin and James Charles Martin; one son, Kenneth Edward Buford and one grandson, Derrick Jamaal Williams.
She leaves behind to cherish many precious memories, her children, Christopher Alan (Melanie) Boyd of Beaver Dam, Garnett (Sherry) Williams of Morgantown and Viquetta “Shari” Montgomery of Beaver Dam; step-daughter, Laquita (Tim) Brown of Jackson, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Elisha Williams, Darius Ra’Jae “Jae” Haymond, Dametra Taylor, Amanda Johnson, Ashley Taylor, Tjay Rainey and Jalessa Gregory and seven great-grandchildren, Chase Tichenor, Ryder Williams, Kylan Rainey, Tristan Watkins, Xander Gregory, Eli Rainey and Amythyst Williams and special babies, Zavian Frazier and Ivan Fraizer.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 10, 2026 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Cody Russ officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Thelma’s family from 10 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
