Wayne Jackson, 60 of Hartford, Kentucky passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 19, 2026 under the care of Hospice of Ohio County. He was born on September 26, 1965 in Joliet, Illinois to Alta Turner Sorrells and the late Roy Reed Jackson. Wayne was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and worked for Real Alloy in Morgantown for 32 years. Wayne loved the Lord above all else. He found joy in fishing, sharing a good meal, watching Kentucky basketball, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Talynn, who was the light of his life.
Aside from his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alma and Harmon Turner and paternal grandparents, Hix and Nancy Jackson. He leaves behind to cherish many precious memories, his wife of 40 years, Angie Coleman Jackson of Hartford; two children, Britney (Chad) Wood of Hartford and Bradley Jackson of Hartford; his mother, Alta (Bobby) Sorrells of Beaver Dam; four siblings, Brenda (Clifford) Holbrook of Beaver Dam, Donna Jackson of South Carrollton, Tonya Rone of Centertown and Randy (Tish) Jackson of Rockport. Wayne was blessed with two grandchildren, Talynn Wood and Ryan Wood and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great-nieces and great-great nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at New Harmony Baptist Church, 6683 State Route 269, Beaver Dam, Kentucky 42320 with Bro. Brian Jones and Bro. Greg Hillard officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery. Friends may visit with Wayne’s family from 10 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday at New Harmony Baptist Church.
