Willie Ray "Brother" Hunt, Jr.

Willie Ray “Brother” Hunt, Jr., 68, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky went to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at his residence. He was born June 28, 1953, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Willie Davis “Eighty-Five” Hunt and Lue Ella Dixon Hunt. Mr. Hunt was a member of Barnes Chapel United Methodist Church and most recently worked for Armstrong Coal. In the past he had been employed by Ken America Mines, maintenance at Perdue and TVA. No matter what job he was doing he worked hard and enjoyed his work. He also loved fishing, rabbit hunting, riding his motorcycle and road trips but most of all he loved the time he spent with his children, grandchildren and family.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William Hatchett.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of twenty-two years, Gina Hunt of Beaver Dam; eight children, Kenny (Tina) Hunt of Fort Worth, Texas, Jeremy Hunt of Bowling Green, Tesa Hunt of Texas, Alex Hunt of Beaver Dam, Emerald Hunt of Beaver Dam, Yvonna Hunt of Beaver Dam, Celena Hunt of Beaver Dam and Lennox Hunt of Beaver Dam; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren and eight sisters, Margie Rife of Hartford, Phyllis Bruce of Grayson County, Linda Moss of Beaver Dam, Mabel (Freddy) Baker of Beaver Dam, Rosie Green of Sacramento, California, Elizabeth (James) Simmons of San Berdina, California, Betty (Raymond) Gray of Beaver Dam and Helena Hunt of Beaver Dam.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 19, 2022, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bishop Robert Randolph officiating. Burial will follow in Tunnel Hill Cemetery in Echols. Friends may visit with Mr. Hunt’s family from 4-7 PM Friday and 9 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
