Wilma Christine (Slack) McKee, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 30th, 2024, at home with her family by her side. She was born September 18th, 1939, in Cool Springs, Kentucky to the late Leonard Slack and Beatrice Williams Slack. Mrs. McKee retired from National Linen Service after fifty years of service and was a member of Rockford Lane Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Connie E. Polston and niece, Penny Sue Polston.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, William H. McKee of Vine Grove, Kentucky; sons, Steven (Penny Teresa) Polston of Louisville and Randall (Tracy) Burgess of Richmond; grandchildren, Randall (Cristy) Burgess, Jr., Jonathan Polston, and Aaron (Nikki) Beams; great grandchildren, Phoenix, Shelby, Riley, Kennedi, and Harper; nieces Rhonda (William) Brown, Becky (Norman) Brown and Kim (Doug) Schmidt and twenty-one great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with her cousin Bro. Bob Hunt officiating. A burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Mrs. McKee’s family from 4 PM - 8 PM, Monday and from 9 AM until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
