Kendall B. Mitchell, 84, of Hartford, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Kendall was born in Ohio County, Kentucky June 18, 1932 to the late Charlie Mitchell and Lillian Southard Mitchell. He was a retired farmer, lifelong member of Slaty Creek Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Kendall was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vernon C. Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Martell Whitehouse Mitchell of Hartford; three sons, Mark (Marty) Mitchell of Hartford, Bruce (Lena) Mitchell of Hartford and Brent (Robin) Mitchell of Olaton; ten grandchildren, Dawn and Todd Taylor of Hartford, Matthew and Nikki Yandell of Evansville, Matthew and Kim Mitchell of Harford, Brittany and Matthew Pearce of Navarre, Florida, Mark Mitchell, Jr. of Hartford, Brody Mitchell of Hartford, Kara Mitchell of Harford, Alex and Chase Duke of Madisonville, Kerri Mitchell of Bowling Green, and Will Crofton of Olaton, and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2017, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Wendell Sandefur officiating. Burial will follow in Slaty Creek Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Kendall’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday and 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
