Laura Jane “Janie” Wilshire, 85 of Beaver Dam gained her wings to fly and sing with the Lord on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born February 16, 1931 to the late Harmonica Frank Floyd and Gladys Marie Prestage. Laura was a loving and caring wife of 54 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandsons and one son-in-law.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Leon Wilshire of Beaver Dam, five children; Gladys McKenzie, Charles “Bobby” Chadd, Shelia Turosz and Crystal “Creeky” Chadd all of Bicknell, IN and Eddie (Lisa) Wilshire of Beaver Dam, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, one sister; Mary (Robert) Bennett of Petersburg, IN and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. E.S.T. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Friendship Park Cemetery; Graveyard Road; Paragon, Indiana 46166. William L. Danks Funeral Home has been entrusted with the local arrangements.
