Martine McStoots Fulkerson, 73 of Olaton went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 10, 1943 in Ohio County to the late Russell B. and Angie Constant McStoots. Mrs. Fulkerson was a member of Narrows Baptist Church and was retired from Professional Care Health and Rehab Center in Hartford.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished playing with her grandchildren. Martine loved being outdoors, going for walks and gardening in her vegetable and flower gardens. She adored her late husband Fred, vacationing to the Smokey Mountains together and traveling to Renfro Valley to see the traditional country music shows that they loved.

Martine had an incredible zest for life; she was a steadfast and strong woman who was known for her beautiful smile that always lit up the room.

Besides her parents, Martine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Fred Fulkerson; two sisters, Goldie McStoots and Hazel McStoots; four brothers, Junior McStoots, Robert McStoots, Joseph McStoots and Kennedy McStoots.

Survivors include her daughters, Freda and Mark Allen of Olaton and Darlena and Carlos “Chuck” B. Embry III of Olaton; one brother, Jerry McStoots of Fordsville; and four sisters, Shirley (Robert) Phelps of Cromwell, Aileen Hall of Narrows, Nancy (Dee) Willis of Fordsville and Ruby McStoots of Caneyville. Martine was blessed with four grandchildren, Dustin (Estella) Allen, Colten (Lauren) Allen, Carlos “Brock” B. (Jamie) Embry IV and Meredith Embry; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Mason Allen, MaKenna Blakelee Allen and Carlos “Cash” B. Embry V; two step-daughters, Debbie Fulkerson of Topeka, Kansas and Sheila Denise Fulkerson of Bowling Green; five step-grandchildren, Summer Shea, Sarah McCraw, Steven McCraw, James Brandon (Angela) Fulkerson and Derek Selby and six step-great grandchildren, Alexis, Addyson & Austyn Shea, Jayden & Elijah Campbell, James Tyler Fulkerson and Tristan Selby.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. David Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Rosine Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 P.M. Monday and 9 A.M. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
