Mable Adeline Gambler Johnson, 96, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. She was born August 18, 1921 in Blue Island, Illinois to the late Jesiah Gambler and Maude Cornell Gambler. Mrs. Johnson retired from the furniture industry in Bryan, Ohio. Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Johnson; three sons, Richard, Larry and Gene Johnson; two infant sons; one daughter, Linda Adkins; four grandchildren, Danny, Scott, Tony and Rocky and one great-granddaughter, Abbigail Trent.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie (Clem) Trent of Fordsville; seven grandchildren, Angela Trent, Josh Trent, Darrell Johnson, Denise Easterday, Jennifer Maurido, Joe Gaume and Cheryl Johnson; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Ron H. Phillips officiating. Friends may visit with Mrs. Johnson’s family from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
