Elbert Harris, 87, of Highland, Indiana passed away October 30, 2017 in Highland. He was born November 9, 1929 in Beaver Dam, Kentucky to the late Owen Harris and Merle Oglesby. Mr. Harris retired from Ford Motor Company and served in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Netterfield Harris; two adopted sons, John and Mike and five siblings, Willard Harris, Orbin Harris, Evelyn Clark, Ray Harris and Lena Kegley.
Survivors include one son, Steve (Laura) Harris of Atlanta, Georgia; Three granddaughters, Laura, Kate, and Caroline; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy (Tom) Seaton of Eddyville and Alma Currier of Glendale, Arizona; sister-in-law, Ruby Harris of Eddyville and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Pete Leach officiating and full military honors by Ohio County Honor Guard. William L. Danks Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
